Poets Simon Armitage and Lavinia Greenlaw reveal their rock star fantasies and musical inspirations through discussion of their latest books. Simon Armitage’s book Gig reflects on a lifetime in which music and poetry have been essential, in his typically deadpan style. Greenlaw’s book The Importance of Music for Girls is the personal account of her own favourite music and the soundtrack to her coming of age.
